Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! (Meals and tours incl)
In order to make your arrival as smooth as possible, I will be waiting for you at the airport. Than we will drive for about 3 hours to Savegre lodge hotel per 2 nights. http://www.savegre.com/ 
Day 2: Find the Quetzal!
Today we have a mission, before breakfast, wake up early and be ready
around 5:15 am to find the Resplendent Quetzal, after this we will be back very happy to eat our delicious breakfast and we can spend the rest of the day walking around the gardens looking for more birds.
Note: Savegre lodge (7 200 feet above sea level) is located at Cerro de la Muerte literally translates to Mountain of Death. This area is the highest point along the Inter-American Highway that stretches along the Talamanca Mountain Range. This highway travels through Costa Rica from Nicaragua to Panama. Some points can be as low as 300 feet above sea level where as other sections are 11,500 feet above. Cerro de la Muerte is the highest point and received the nickname during historical times when travel was done by foot; many travelers were faced with cold temperatures and high elevations that they were not prepared for. This coupled with frequent landslides and straight drop offs that can go hundreds of feet gave birth to the name Cerro de la Muerte.

Day 3: Savegre – Bougainvillea hotel. (B, L)

Any time, before lunch we will be drive back to San José and you are going to stay at Bougainvillea hotel per 2 nights, good location for the day you are going to Tortuguero. This hotel is located in Heredia province near San José.
Day 4: Coffee Tour, Poás Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens (B, L)
Today we are going to do the best tour from San José, we can visit Doka Estate is a nice coffee tour, then Poás Volcano (if is open the National Park because it has been very active) and La Paz Waterfall Gardens, after this drive back to Bougainvillea Hotel.

Day 5: Tortuguero (share transport) (Meals and Tours are

Time to see the wildlife! We will travel through highway #32 and drive past the scenic Braulio Carrillo National Park and banana Plantations at the end of your trip before get in to our boat taking you for about one hour to Mawamba Lodge, in the afternoon, you can visit Tortuguero village.
Day 6: Tours in Tortuguero (Meals incl.)
Breakfast available from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. This morning and a time you will confirm with your naturalist guide (usually around 9.30 a.m.) go on a visit to the “Mawamba Park”, a private facility in our Lodge’s gardens that features two butterfly farms, a frog garden, our bio-digester and river turtles area.
Meet for the afternoon canal tour in the Tortuguero National Park. Visit one of the park’s canals by boat and discover with your guide the wonderful biodiversity that resides in this area.

Day 7: Tortuguero – Sarapiquí. http://www.selvaverde.com (meals incl.) After breakfast, drive back on the bumpy road, we will drive for about 3 hours to Selva Verde lodge, but before that your lunch is included on the way. Stay per 2 nights. If you want in the afternoon we can walk around the hotel.
Day 8: White Water Rafting (Class II and III)
Get ready for the next adventure! This tour begins in the community known as La Virgen de Sarapiquí, one of the most important communities of the area. This tour takes you through a beautiful part of the river filled with exciting white water rapids and beautiful ponds, all surrounded by a wonderful natural scenery. Back to your hotel around 2pm.
Day 9: Sarapiquí – Arenal (B)
After breakfast time to go and see another Volcano, Arenal. Drive from
Sarapiquí to your next hotel it takes about 2 hours. Stay at Volcano lodge per 3 nights http://www.volcanolodge.com/es

Day 10: Safari Float & Hanging bridges. (B)
Safari Float is a smooth two-hour paddle down the quiet Peñas Blancas River, it is like a boat tour but in a Raft like boat. You not going to paddle just you enjoy the view and your guide in the back control the raft. Today you can do Safari float in the morning and hanging bridges in the afternoon.
Day 11: Hiking & Visit Arenal Oasis at night. (B)
After breakfast we can do a nice hiking in Arenal National Park then at night we are going to do a night walk, where we are available to find the most famous frog in Costa Rica, the red eyed tree frog.

Day 12: Arenal – Cloud Forest (B, D)
Any time you want we are going to leave Arenal and drive for about 4
hours around the Arenal Lake to Monteverde Cloud Forest.
At night, there is a very nice and easy night walk, another possibility to
nocturnal animals such as the Olingo or Owls. Stay 2 nights at El

Day 13: Hiking at the Cloud Forest Reserve
One of the main attractions of Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve is its 13-kilometer network of trails. While walking the trails, visitors are presented with a number of options.
In the afternoon, we can we can do the Trapiche tour, this tour begins with a short walk through the farm where you can get a glimpse of plantations as sugar cane, coffee, bananas, plantains, tubers, oranges and more. Enjoy the entire coffee process, ride a Costarican ox cart and experience the process of making liquor out of the sugar cane, and to finish delight yourself with a fragrant cup of coffee.

Day 14: Monteverde – Manuel Antonio http://www.hotelvillabosque.com/
Time to see the Beach on the Central Pacific coast, from Monteverde it
takes about 4 hours to get to your hotel, Villa Bosque hotel per 3 nights.

Day 15: Visit the National Park Relaxing day and a good opportunity to see the fourth monkey specie in the country, the squirrel monkeys.
Day 16: Free and Relaxing day.
There optional tours like the Catamaran tour or kayaking tours by a mangrove forest.
Day 17: Manuel Antonio – La Ensenada Lodge (meals, tours includ.)

Hacienda La Ensenada is a National Wildlife Refuge Located on the Pacific Coast in the province of Puntarenas, on the Gulf of Nicoya only 2:30 hours from San José, and 1:25 hours from Liberia. It is an ideal place for Horseback Riding; for naturalists, bird watchers and nature lovers.
Day 18: Ensenada lodge tour
Not forget your birds list! We are going to do the Mangrove tour in the
morning then in the afternoon we can walk around the hotel.

Day 19: Ensenada Lodge – Rancho Humo (meals inclu)
Their location, couldn’t be better – among the wetlands, dry tropical forest and mangroves of the Tempisque River on the Nicoya Peninsula, considered one of the most important Blue Zones in the world where people enjoys a long and healthy life.

Day 20: Rancho Humo – Wetlands Tour. http://ranchohumo.com/
From Rancho Humo Estancia, we take you in one of their Land Rover 4×4 Safari jeeps to a journey throughout kilometers of wetlands where wildlife seems to be spreading out. Hundreds of aquatic birds flying around and feeding from the richness of these lands. Keep eyes open to spot Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, White and Tiger Herons, Anhingas, Neotropical Cormorants, Northern Jacanas, the Jabiru.

Day 21: Rancho Humo – Panamá Beach (All Inclusive)

After breakfast is time to go to Panamá Beach, just 5 minutes from Hermosa Beach, where you are going to stay for the next 5 nights. Stay at Casa Conde del Mar hotel or similar.
Days 22, 23, 24, 25 rest by the beach
Day 26: Any time you would like to leave the Beach to San Jose (almost 5 hours) Stay at the Hampton In by the airport.
Day 27: Very sad! Is time to say bye to our new friends! Your hotel is just 5 minutes again from the airport.
